How To Enable ATI Radeon HD 5670 on OS X Yosemite (Clover Bootloader)

As we know the young generation of Mac coming with ATI Radeon graphic card, like an iMac 5K with ATI Radeon R9 M290X / R9 M295X and the latest Mac Pro with the most powerful AMD FirePro. It means OS X Yosemite or maybe newer OS X is more support the ATI Radeon graphic cards than the Nvidia. So it becomes a good news for hackmac users with ATI graphic card in their machine. I've installed HD 7850 on Mountain Lion and Mavericks with some tweaks and I have no luck on both system. But when I installed it on Yosemite, the OS X support out of the box.
Today I want to share how to enable most ATI Radeon graphic cards in OS X.
For the first step, you should check its dev id from your About This Mac.
HD 5670 comes with 68d8 dev id then let's check it in Extensions folder because the dev id must be in it. Open Finder and go to AMD5000Controller.kext in /System/Library/Extensions/. Right click on it then select show package contents and go to info.plist in Contents folder. The 1002 is code for vendor id, "ATI Radeon" in this case.

In different model of graphic card, you may add it manually, don't forget to backup this kext first. In older OS X it can be found at ATI5000Controller.kext. Do the same method for AMDRadeonX3000.kext or ATIRadeonX3000.kext on older kext.

The second step is edit the config.plist of Clover setting under your EFI partition. How to mount EFI partition? Just enable Debug mode the Disk Utility then check "Show Every Partition" and mount it.
Under <key>Graphics</key>, add "Baboon" in FB Name key. What's Baboon? It is one of ATI Radeon 5000 chipset name. While there are some chipset name like Douc, Langur, Uakari, Zonalis, Alouatta, Hoolock, Vervet, Eulemur, Galago, Colobus, Mangabey, Nomascus, Orangutan for ATI Radeon 5xxx. You should get your HD 5670 working eventhough I never get the DVI port works. I tried HDMI and the VGA port and they work together well.
