Kodi formerly known as XBMC is a multifunctions opensource home theatre software. It can manages movies, songs, pictures both they're online and offline. Kodi 16 has been released with codename "Jarvis" which will be successor of previous build Kodi 15 "Isengard". Eventhough it's still in beta release but it fix several bugs. Here is the changelog of
Kodi 16 - Jarvis beta 2 :
- It improves the library export with the correct dialogs
- Removes the broken add-ons in the update panel which is accessed through add-on information
- Improves next recording widget for PVR
- Improves timer dialog fixes for PVR
- Fix the ignore volume changes on corked sink for Pulse
- It doesn’t show repeating timers on PVR recording list
- Fix edact file name in log output for smb://
There is also an add-on browser so you can get a lot of add-ons such as, Youtube, Vimeo, Vine, Netflix etc.
Kodi is the most beautiful multimedia player I've ever seen. There are a lot of beautiful skins which can be downloaded on its skin browser.

Kodi is also release "Kore" Kodi Remote which is available to download for free on Mac App Store and Google Play Store. So you can remote it easily. Sometimes I feel like I'm using an Apple TV or Nexus Q / Player when I used it.
